On September 11, 2014, Finland-Rovaniemi delegation headed by Director of Rovaniemi Business Development Bureau Juha Seppälä came to visit. President Wang Yuying, Secretary-General Hu Xiaopian, Chairman of Tianjin Binhai Cyberport Management Co., Ltd. Zhang Gangfu and General Manager of Huan Cheng Investment and Consulting Co., Ltd. Fan Lin met with the delegation and had in-depth talks on the investment projects of the delegation.

The Rovaniemi delegation came to look for investors for hotel development and mineral development. Manager of Rovaniemi Development Bureau Jaakko Pöykkö made a detailed introduction about the two projects. He pointed out that Rovaniemi is the only provincial capital located on the Arctic Circle. Rovaniemi has beautiful natural landscapes and good weather, and also are popular as the hometown of Santa Claus. Now the hotels can’t meet the demand of the tourists. So investors for hotel projects are very welcomed in Rovaniemi. The mining industry of Rovaniemi is developing fast and a lot of local iron mines need to be developed. Rovaniemi government offers investors preferential policies and welcome Tianjin investors to Rovaniemi.

President Wang welcomed the delegation’s visit. He made a brief introduction about TSCPE including its task, member structure etc. He expressed that he will pass the information of the projects to TSCPE members as soon as possible.
